Amazing Spider-Man 361 (CGC 9.8). Rare Newsstand Edition with retired Carnage label!
This is high grade copy of the Amazing Spider-Man 361 which features the 1st appearance of Carnage by David Michelinie and Mark Bagley. As a newsstand edition which has a 9.8 CGC grade, this is a rare copy of one of the hottest comics at the moment.
I was actually working at a comic book shop in Knoxville, TN when this issue was published. We immediately realized how hot the book was on the first day and set a one issue limit for every customer.
Even working at the store I only received one copy of the direct edition. Granted, this isn't the book I picked up and read from Comic's Inc. (still the best shop I've ever been to).
This is a copy that I happened to see from a spinner rack at a Weigel's convenience store in Knoxville, TN a month later. For anyone who remembers those squeaky, angular, metal racks it is simply amazing that this book wasn't damaged by kids thumbing through the comics looking for their favorite series to spend their allowance on. This book has never been read and you will be the second owner in the 28 years since it came out of the printer.
I will be certifying my packing by recording the cocooning of the book within bubble wrap and then sealing it inside a 200 lb. The mailer box will then be taped shut with tamper proof holographic stickers, each of which has been stamped with a unique 8 digit serial number. The only thing that you will have to do is sign for the package when it arrives. If the seals are broken, or the box damaged, simply don't accept it. Otherwise, thank you for your consideration.
This book has been sitting on the number one hottest book for a while and as the days tick by until the movie is here the interest and value of the book will only increase. This will be a showpiece for any collection. This item is in the category "Collectibles\Comic Books & Memorabilia\Comics\Comics & Graphic Novels".
